East Riding Sacks Limited can trace its origins back to 1968 when it was founded as a manufacturer of potato sacks for local farmers.

The company thrived as a regional producer attracting an increasing number of customers from the farming community.

Building on this success, the company began to substantially invest in its operations, diversifying into different markets offering sacks to an ever-increasing number of companies nationally. The steady growth continued as the company expanded into the flour sack market and diversified its range of sacks to include rolled bottom sacks.

During the late 1990’s the decision was made to expand into the industrial valve sack market. By ploughing profits back into the business and investing in new machinery and new people, the company expanded further to become one of the largest producers of industrial valve sacks in the UK, for cement, building products, chemicals and pigments.

Continual investment since the millennium in the company’s infrastructure has seen production capacity increase further. The company now has a high demand for its sacks and ensures that sacks are produced to recognised standards, using only the best, sustainably sourced sack kraft paper. This has enabled us to build our reputation for quality and reliability.

Today, East Riding Sacks Limited is proud of its achievement of becoming the largest manufacturer of paper sacks in the UK.
