We are seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Supervisor to join our team. As the Kitchen Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a small team, ensuring the timely preparation and service of meals for company employees. Your role will focus on maintaining high food standards, ensuring hygiene and safety protocols are followed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage the day-to-day operations of the staff canteen.
· Supervision of a kitchen assistant.
· Ensure that food is prepared according to the canteen’s menu, maintaining quality and consistency.
· Keep meals simple, nutritious, and cost-effective while providing variety.
· Ensure meals are served promptly and courteously to employees.
· Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene in compliance with food safety regulations.
· Conduct regular cleaning and sanitation of all kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment
· Monitor stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment.
· Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained in a good working condition.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory kitchen role, preferably in a cafeteria or canteen environment.
· Food Safety Level 2 (or higher) certification.
· In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
· Experience of food hygiene audits.
· Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
· Ability to manage a small team and ensure timely food service.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety practices.
· Excellent communication skills to interact with staff and employees.
· Excellent numerical ability.
· Ability to be flexible to cater for special events or specific business needs.
Pay: £13.50 – £14.50 dependant on experience.
Hours: 40 hours per week, working 8 hours per day Monday to Friday. On occasion you will be asked to work flexibility for special events or to meet business needs.
