Production Operatives (Shift Work) – East Riding Sacks Limited, Near Pocklington, East Yorkshire. We are now recruiting for full time, permanent Production Operatives to join our existing team working on a three-week rotating shift system.
Day shift rate: £11.90 per hour working Monday to Friday, from 07:30am to 16:00pm. After a probation period, the successful candidate will then be transferred to a rotating shift system.
Hours of Work: 6:00am to 6:00pm and 6:00pm to 6:00am (48 hours per week on a 12 hour shift on a three-week rotating system).
Shift Training Rate of Pay: £13.15 per hour – £32,822 per annum
After completion of the 1st phase of training: £15.77 per hour – £39,361 per annum.
East Riding Sacks Limited is the largest paper sack producer in the United Kingdom and one of the major sack producers in Europe supplying flour, agriculture, cement/building products, minerals & food industries.
We are based near Pocklington, East Yorkshire, YO41 1HS, (5 miles from Pocklington, 12 miles from Market Weighton, 13 miles from York, 20 Miles from Driffield and 23 miles from Beverley).
The job involves:
· Working as part of a production team to set up and run production lines
· Ensuring attention to detail and that procedures are followed
· Complying with our high standards of quality, hygiene and safety
· Undertaking quality checks throughout the production run
The candidate would ideally meet the following criteria:
· Be flexible, reliable and positive
· Commitment to product, quality and safety
· Able to work as a team and independently
· Able to understand procedures and work instructions
· Experience of working within a factory environment preferable but not essential as full training will be given
· Counterbalance fork lift truck licence would be advantageous but not essential
