About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and pro-active Purchasing Officer to support our Purchasing Manager in ensuring timely, cost-effective supply of raw materials to our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities 
-Assist in coordinating all raw materials requests from the manufacturing team
-Act as a point of contact for all company stock requests and suppliers of raw materials
-Source goods and services from approved suppliers, ensuring cost, quality and delivery requirements are met
-Ensure stock levels are maintained to meet operational needs while avoiding excess inventory
-Support with preparing and issuing purchase order requests to suppliers
-Assist with the preparation of management reports
-Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and documentation
-Maintain order books

-Support with general administrative duties

Qualifications and Experience Required
-Minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in a purchasing, buying or procurement role
-CIPS qualified (minimum Level 3)
-Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
-Good communication skills
-Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
-Computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office
-Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines

Hours of Work:

9:00am to 5:00pm Monday – Friday. On occasion you will be asked to work flexibility for special events or to meet business needs.
The pay range is subject to experience and open to negotiation.

Experience:
-Purchasing/buying: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:
-CIPS qualification (required)
